Class sizes over the last few years have ranged from 18 to 23 per teacher.
School Hours, Extended Care, and Recess
The elementary school's regular school hours are from 8:30am-3:00pm. Any students may participate in the extended care program which runs both in the morning (6:30-8:15am) and/or in the afternoon (3:15-6:00pm).
Kindergarten-3rd grade have both a morning and afternoon 15 minute recess. Grades 4 and 5 have only a 15 minute morning recess. All grades have a 30 minute lunch followed by a mid-day 15 minute recess.
Chapel is an important aspect of the spiritual life at Cornerstone Christian Academy for Learning and Leadership. Parents, grandparents and friends are encouraged to attend chapel which occurs on Wednesdays - 3rd-5th from 9:15-10:05am and K-2nd from 10:10-11:00am. Chapel consists of prayer, worship, a Biblically-based message, Student-of-the-Week and Christian Character awards. This time together as a school allows students to both be challenged in their spiritual development and be leaders in spiritual activities.
The school has a wide variety of activities in which students can be engaged ranging from events to class field trips to after-school programs.

Grandparents Day, Christmas & Spring Music Programs, Homecoming Week, Lion Pride Assemblies, Talent Show, Art Shows, Spring Carnival, Sporting Events.
Class Field Trips: Oregon Zoo, Bonneville Dam, Mt. St. Helens, Washington State Capitol, Bi-Zi Farms
After-School Programs: Mad Science, Chess Club, Growing Godly Girls, Golf, Soccer Shots!, Athletics for grades 5-8 include Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Cheer, and Track.
The school has a dress code policy which emphasizes dressing to honor the Lord and to be a positive representative/witness for the Lord. Students do not wear a school uniform, but clothing is to be neat, clean, and in good taste. Specific details on the dress code policy are available to all families in the Parent/Student Handbook.
