Christmas Program & Winter Art Show
December 14 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
“The Biggest, Brightest Christmas”
We want to bless you this Christmas with song and dance in celebration of the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! You will see the culmination of work from the entire school, from Early Childhood Education through Eight Grade. The title of the program is, “Biggest, Brightest Christmas” because, although His start was humble, Jesus came to be the biggest, brightest news that we have ever seen!
** Please note that due to space constraints, we will have a staggered start for the concert: ECE begins @ 6:30, Band (ES and Concert) begins @ 7:00, and Elementary Choir begins @ 7:30.
In addition, we will have our Winter Art Show, “A Christmas Tree of Life”. The art is inspired by Gustav Klimt’s 1909 Tree of Life Mural. The students have used techniques from printmaking, cutting shapes, creating a composition to paintings on canvas. Students have learned about symbolism, repeated patterns, negative space and embellishing your art. I am so proud of the work the students are sharing this Christmas. The symbolism of the tree to believers is very powerful especially at Christmastime. Jesus, the great gift of God to us, brings life to us through His death on the tree.
The students work also inspires our Christmas Boutique that will offer handmade cards and ornaments for sale. Proceeds will support the art program.
