School Hours & Extended Care
The middle school's regular school hours are from 8:20am-3:10pm. Students under 13 years of age may participate in the extended care program which runs both in the morning (6:30-8:15am) and/or in the afternoon (3:15-6:00pm).
Chapel is an important aspect of the spiritual life at Cornerstone Christian Academy for Learning and Leadership. Parents, grandparents and friends are encouraged to attend chapel which occurs on Wednesdays from Noon-1pm. Chapel consists of prayer, worship, a Biblically-based message, and Christian Character awards. This time together as a school allows students to be challenged in their spiritual development and to be leaders in spiritual activities.
typical annual activities at the middle school include: Student Fall Retreat, Spirit Week, Homecoming, Eighth Grade United States Historic Tour, Formal Christmas Dessert, Christmas and Spring Music Programs, Champions of Character, Eighth Grade Graduation.
The middle school is located two blocks east of the main campus with a state of the art Mac lab and a large auditorium. The campus also includes a food service facility, locker room, and traditional classrooms. The students use the gymnasium at the main campus for their physical education classes.
The school has a dress code policy which emphasizes dressing to honor the Lord and to be a positive representative/witness for the Lord. Students do not wear a school uniform, but clothing is to be neat, clean, and in good taste.
